Welcome to Mapping the Brew City, a digital resource designed to connect Milwaukee residents to their local history and to each other. Three objectives drive the project: to engage people in a discussion about community identity, explore changes in Milwaukee's brewing industry during the Cold War period (1945-1990), and to utilize geography as a tool of research. Proper reflection on Milwaukee's past requires input from all segments of the community.
